Survival of a Sword King
Synopsis
After being recently discharged from military service and just drifting through life, Hanbin Ryu is suddenly transported to another world. However, his “guide line,” the system bestowed upon him to help with his survival and growth, was filled with errors, causing him to be stuck in the tutorial stage for over 20 years. When he is finally released from this personal hell, he finds everyone has turned against otherworlders like him. Just how will this low-level, super-tutorial newbie survive?

An interesting premise that gets very boring and repetitive later.
Story: 5/10
The starting of the story is somewhat unique and did intrigue me enough to keep reading for 50 chapters until I stopped out of annoyance and boredom. The plot keeps repeating and gets stale at around 30 chapters. The lore isn’t that well developed at all.Art: 8/10
Art is great, especially the MUSCLES. The characters are fairly well designed except for a few side characters. The action paneling is great too. The story could use some more vibrant colors and backgrounds.Character: 4/10
Most of the characters are very blandly written. No substance to make them stand out amongst the thousands of other manhwa. The wyvern and the ghost were interesting characters to me, but not interesting enough to keep reading.Enjoyment: 3/10
I enjoyed the first 20-25 chapters, but after that, I became very annoyed with the story as it kept repeating itself without the plot ever moving towards something. Only recommend it if you can stomach 150 chapters of the same thing. -
This is an isekai but one of the better ones is my opinion. The is stupidity op at the start but the more progress you more op enemies will appear like the angels there not the normal angel but they are monster from another dimension it’s just that in this world they call them angel also there is no romance for the moment maybe in future.
The story is 7.5 /10 ( maybe 8)
What I found interesting is that the mc is not the only one the get isekaid there where 7 seven billion candidates and the people in this are racist against because some of the isekaid people kills people of this place to level up so the mc he’s to hides his identity
The art is 10/10 one of the best art in manhwa its so good the I just end up looking the same panel for minutes.
Characters are 6/10 at the start the side characters annoying but at the fairy arc they become better

So I really like this isekai… I did read 100 chapters twice after all.
I’m gonna try to sell you this manhwa which deserves a read if you’re fond of the genre. As with typical korean fashion, our protagonist is overpowered. But it’s not a clone of some characters you might be thinking of if you’re already familiar with other popular korean works. Forget about the self composed hero and a trendy haircut that has no feelings besides protecting his friends and beating the bad guys. We’ve got ourselves someone that has truly been through a special kind of hell.
Either way, because everything is easy when you’re stronger than everyone else, pacing is important, and I don’t think this isekai really misses the mark here. It doesn’t take long for the reader to be introduced to the greater forces that make up this fantasy world. And boy is it grand. You just can’t wait to see our korean Conan matched up against other strong fighters and you know… just enjoy the show. The drawings are gorgeous, and it’s supported by great combats that are often fought on an epic scale.
What I particularly adore about this isekai, is the charisma that emanates from various characters, and it’s not always quite clear whether they are friend or foe. Everyone has their own agenda… both players and NPCs.
When it comes to comedy, it’s surprisingly alright. Honestly things kinda get pretty dark with some isekai but this one always manages to lighten the mood thanks to the main characters’ chemistry.
To conclude, Latna Saga hasn’t reinvented the wheel among the plethora of isekais that deal with a MMORPG setting, but where it truly shines is that it keeps things simple while still delivering an entertaining story that keeps the reader waiting for more.
A balanced isekai, and I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if it gets adapted someday.
